CitraLand Marathon

Important Notice

Participants are advised to read the following Important Notice, Terms of Entry and Race Rules carefully before the race. Participants are advised to solicit medical advice from doctor if they are in doubt of their health condition prior to taking part in the race. The Terms of Entry and following Official Rules are intended to help produce and direct a large scale event, to ensure the safety of all participants, to meet the requirements of local government permits and to be compliant with applicable Indonesian National Association of Athletics Federation regulations.

All entry fees are non-refundable and the Organiser retains the right to refuse entry to anyone declaring false information on their entry form, not making the required payment, or otherwise failing to meet the stated entry requirements.

Registration

  1. Registration can be made through citralandmarathon.com. Official Receipt will be sent through your email address after you have completed all registration requirements.
  2. If you do not receive the Official Receipt by one hour after your registration, please contact us.
  3. Participant is required to provide correct and accurate information when performing registration (including date of birth). A participation can be cancelled if data provided to the Organiser is not accurate. Inaccurate information may also result in cancelation of result and prize money.
  4. Successful participants must collect their race bib number, cloths, timing chips and souvenirs ("Race Pack") (in person or via an authorised person) by presenting the race pack collection form and identity card (as stated in the race pack collection form). Please see Race Pack Collection page for detail on venue and time for collection.

Official Rules

  1. Entry categories and timing chip bib number are non-transferable.
  2. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify or exclude any person from competition who gives incorrect personal data/details on the entry form, or who is suspected of having taken banned substances. No refund of entry fee will be arranged.
  3. No result will be given to participants who do not start in the race time assigned to them by the Organiser.
  4. Participants must retire from the race immediately, if asked/requested to do so by any member of the officials, medical staff, race director, umpire and/or security officers/marshals.
  5. No pets or any form of wheel-run objects of transport, e.g. wheel chairs (except designated wheelchairs for the Wheelchair events approved by the organiser), bicycles, skates, push carts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers, etc. are allowed on the course.
  6. Participants are not allowed to run with babies or children who are under the age of 12 and unregistered runners.
  7. In order to ensure the re-opening of roads to normal traffic by 10:30 am Surabaya Time, the Organiser will designate cut-off times at specified locations. Runners failing to reach these specific locations within times specified must stop their races when asked by the Organiser.

Course Monitoring

  1. Any participant who refuses to obey the directions, order or instruction of the event official, umpire or marshal (collectively "Officials"), or who conducts himself/herself in an unsportsmanlike manner, or who is offensive by action or language to Officials, volunteers, participants or spectators may be disqualified from the event by the Officials.
  2. Any participant who has been found by a course marshal, event official or surveillance equipment to have gained an unfair advantage by intentionally shortening the route of the race ("cutting the course") shall be immediately disqualified from the event.
  3. Any person who participates in the event without a current official event bib number or timing chip not officially assigned to him/her is subject to removal and disqualification from the event. Participant must put on his/her bib at the front side of his/her shirt.
  4. Participants are given a maximum grace period of 15 minutes from start time to cross the starting line. Any participants who are more than 15 minutes late will be disqualified and their time records will not be recorded.
  5. No persons are authorised to be on the course unless they are registered participants or approved by the Organiser. Therefore, no person shall be allowed to accompany a participant if he/she is not registered in the event nor has been approved by the Organiser.
  6. A hands-on medical examination during the progress of an event by officially designated medical personnel shall not be considered assistance and will not result in disqualification if participant is deemed medically fit. If a participant becomes ill during or after the Event and/or receive medical attention or treatment either from event medical staff, or any doctor or hospital, must authorise such persons to provide details (including details of medical treatment) to the Organiser or others authorised by him/her.

Timing Chip and Bib Number

  1. All participants will receive a timing chip device. Participants are required to wear timing chip device according to the instructions set by the Organiser.
  2. Gun time is the time used to determine the prize winners.
  3. The time record for the participant will be determined by the timing chip device (net time) from the moment the participants cross the start line until the participants cross the finish line.
  4. Participants are required to keep wearing the timing chip device before crossing the start line until after crossing the finish line.
  5. Participants' net time that is passing the cut-off time will not be recognised as an official time record
  6. Participants who use more than one timing chip devices will be disqualified and the timing records will not be recorded.
  7. Participants who lose their timing chip devices will be disqualified.
  8. Participants must start the race after the specified start time and are given a maximum grace period of 15 minutes to cross the starting line.
  9. Participants must wear their bib numbers on the chest.
  10. In certain cases, due to a technical error, the timing chip device can not be detected and thus the Participant will have no timing record.
  11. The final decision on podium is determined by the race director, cannot be contested and is absolute.

Deposit Bag Facility

  1. The Organiser provides deposit bag facility to deposit clean clothes. Participants are not allowed to deposit valuable belonging to the deposit bag facility.
  2. The Organiser shall not be responsible for any lost of valuable item.

Prize Money

  1. All participants, both Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals with KITAS can register for the race, and are entitled to win the podium.
  2. Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K participants will be entitled to compete for awards/prize. The Prize is subject to tax in accordance with the applicable laws.
  3. Prize winners or potential prize winners, may enquire or lodge objections within 30 minutes after the result is published or immediately after the prize presentation, whichever comes first.
  4. The Organiser may perform doping tests to the participants. All prizes will be awarded only after the winner completes the doping test requested by the Organiser. The title of the champion will be revoked if the winner fails the doping test.
  5. Prizes will be given in Rupiah.
  6. The winner and prize determination will be based on gun-time record (not net-time record).
  7. Participants are only eligible to win in one race category according to the category registered.
  8. The minimum age for Full Marathon and Half Marathon participants is 17 years old at the day of the race, and 12 years old for 10K and 5K categories. Prize money can be won to Indonesian citizens or foreign nationals with KITAS with the age according to the category's minimum age or older at the day of the race. There are Master categories for Full Marathon and Half Marathon in this event.

Pictures and Documentation

The Organiser is entitled to use photographs and documentation of Participants taken during the race for purposes related to BCA CitraLand Marathon or similar events in the future.

Ammendments/Reservations/Acknowledgements

  1. Organiser reserves the right, to modify, supplement or waive all or part of the race rules.
  2. Participants shall be bound by any modification or supplement of the event rules published by the Organiser.
  3. Failure to follow these race rules, as may be amended, will result in immediate disqualification, loss of prize money and removal from official results.

Release and Waiver of Liabilty

Participant hereby waive, release, covenant not to sue and forever discharge active and all other persons associated with the event, for all liabilities, claims, actions, or damages that the Participant may have against them arising out of or in any way connected with the participant's registration and/or participation in the BCA CitraLand Marathon.

The Organiser, its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, partners and licensors shall not be liable to the Participant for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use of data or other intangible losses.

Without prejudice to the foregoing provisions, the Participant agrees that maximum reimbursement to be provided by the Organiser shall be the amount of money received by the Organiser from the Participant.

In the case of discrepancies between the Indonesian and English versions, the Indonesian versions shall prevail.
